Have you had a chance to play OutRun Online Arcade? It’s possible that the window of opportunity to do so will soon be closed.

Well, if you consider a year from now to be “soon.”

By way of Joystiq, Eurogamer reported a couple of months ago that due to the expiration of their license with Ferrari, the game had been removed from the PlayStation Network, a version which was exclusive to Europe.

The Xbox LIVE Arcade version will remain intact on the Xbox LIVE Marketplace until December of 2011, perhaps as a result of it being the more prevalent, widespread version. At least, that seems to be the story in Europe; it would seem there has been no answer to whether or not the same will apply in North America.

Nonetheless, why take chances? It’s a good game if you’re into driving (designer Yu Suzuki classified the original as a “driving” game, rather than a “racing” game), and if you would like to know my further thoughts on the product as a whole, click here and read my full impressions for yourself.

And, of course, being an Xbox LIVE Arcade game, you can always try a demo for free. Don’t let this one pass you by, give it a shot before it’s too late!
