Holy fucking Hell.

FINALLY went back and beat Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga tonight, after spending the past week or so leveling myself up to 50.

Bowletta went down pretty fucking fast, after all that. And thanks to my speed increase, I was able to get the necessary first-strike to restore my life on Cackletta’s essence inside.

But FUCK, it took me an hour even then, at least. For the ending, SO not worth it, I’m sorry to say.

I love the game overall, despite the faults, and I’m no doubt going to punish myself with the sequel, but fuck me, that final boss was tedious as all fuck. In fact, after I finish Zelda: Four Swords Adventures, I’m going on to Paper Mario: Thousand Year Door. Hope that one’s not as bad.

Red was telling me about how long it took to beat some other RPG bosses. Holy Hell, I don’t see how people do it.

The fact she seemed to get about a dozen strikes for every one of yours didn’t help matters much, either.

I’ve replayed Super Mario RPG, I could probably redo Mega Man X Command Mission, and I’ll no doubt play this again, but when I do, I do NOT expect to go through fighting the final boss again. The ending, while cute and amusing, just was not worth what it took to get it.

Hard to believe action games, often with boss battles that take about five-ten minutes, usually give much more substantial endings than this one.

So, to conclude, it’s a good game for the most part, but I’m not sure I’d go through the trouble to complete it again.
