What I believe to be my final thought on MMXC, MHX, and all points in between.

I’ve come to what I’ve determined to be the only reasonable course of action for this. I’m going to buy MHX, and I’m going to buy MMPU. I’m not going to buy MMXC until I find it used and cheap. And in doing so, I am going to send an e-mail to Capcom(America, Japan, or […]

I’ve come to what I’ve determined to be the only reasonable course of action for this.

I’m going to buy MHX, and I’m going to buy MMPU. I’m not going to buy MMXC until I find it used and cheap. And in doing so, I am going to send an e-mail to Capcom(America, Japan, or even both) carefully explaining my dissatisfaction at this entire fiasco, and how they lost a sale by doing this, and that it does not balance out, as they’d have had my money for all three games before this.

And I’ll encourage anyone else who feels that way to do so as well.

Or if they aren’t buying MMXC or one of the PSP games, to essentially do the same.

Whether it makes a difference… well, let’s face it, there’s little else we can do that will make a difference.

Sales for MMXC will do well, I’ve little doubt. Value packs like this do. So I doubt boycotting it will make a terribly huge dent, though they may realize the lost potential sales otherwise.

By avoiding MHX and MMPU, we’d only be hurting the MM franchise more. And we’d no doubt be depriving ourselves of what promises to be a pair of really good games. And in the process, who knows what could follow if these weren’t worth the investment put into them? We could wind up with crappy casting again, no anime, or who knows what else.

Optionally, one might buy the PSP titles used as well, and tell Capcom as well for the reasons cited as their disappointment. It shows there’s a market for their product, but not for their bullshit.

So… yeah. That’s pretty much it. Because there’s really little else we can do that’s in the best interest of all parties involved.

…just gotta find CoJ’s e-mail address now.
